Antique
gates are beautifully decorative –
a small gate, left adjar between sections of
a garden, will entice visitors to see what’s
beyond. Lichen stocks antique iron gates reclaimed
from period properties and historic buildings.
Finials are architectural
features in their
own right, providing ornamentation, typically
on the top of gate posts or at the apex of
a roof. They can be stone, marble or metal
(the latter also acting as lightning rods.)
Limestone ball finials are also popular as
decorative features either side of steps, or
paths.
